Our commitment to advancing the standard of care for people living with skin conditions is built on the trust we earn from patients, the healthcare community that treats them and society. This trust is anchored in our unwavering commitment to integrity and transparency, guided by our Code of Conduct.

Business ethics

Our performance is not only measured by the results we achieve – but also by how we achieve these results. The LEO Pharma Code of Conduct translates our corporate values – Integrity, Customer focus, Innovation, Passion, and Adaptability – into consistent actions by addressing and resolving ethical dilemmas and compliance issues arising in our daily work. We believe that we all have a responsibility to do things the right way, and we must all be motivated, empowered, and supported to do so.

Compliance with the LEO Pharma Code of Conduct and our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption and (ABAC) policy is mandatory for all employees, including both part-time and full-time employees, across all LEO Pharma operations. Both the Code of Conduct and the ABAC policy are reviewed annually by Global Compliance. All employees must complete annual training in LEO Pharma’s ethical standards including the Code of Conduct.

The LEO Pharma Code of Conduct is owned by the Executive Management. The Board of Directors holds the overall responsibility for ethics and anti-corruption. Our Compliance Committee, led by the Chief Financial Officer and represented by key business functions, acts as the governing body to oversee, guide, and assess LEO Pharma Group’s compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements, including industry standards, and internal controls. The Compliance Committee is established to ensure that LEO Pharma’s business practices align with its commitment to maintain the highest levels of corporate integrity, ethical conduct, and compliance. In addition, it has the right to update or implement policy changes and/or grant waivers as needed to uphold LEO Pharma’s ethical standards. The Audit Committee, reporting to the Board of Directors, are regularly updated on ethics and compliance matters by the Group General Counsel.

As a pharmaceutical company committed to serving our patients, fostering a culture of speaking up is paramount to maintaining ethical practices, acting with integrity, and holding ourselves and each other accountable to our values. The LEO Pharma SpeakUp Line provides a way to report potential unethical behaviour, misconduct or legal violations in a safe and confidential way, optionally on an anonymous basis. Early detection of violations allows us to take appropriate measures to prevent or minimize possible harm to employees, business partners, and the company.

LEO Pharma does not tolerate retaliation or punishment of any kind against anyone using the Speak Up Line to raise a good-faith concern. Raising concerns is in line with our values and the LEO Pharma Code of Conduct and we guarantee a safe and confidential reporting channel. If you have observed or suspect that someone, whether an employee or a supplier of LEO Pharma, has violated applicable laws, regulations, or internal rules of LEO Pharma, we strongly encourage you to report your concerns. Your support significantly contributes to our commitment to ethical behavior.

Animal experimentation plays an important role in research and drug development when assessing the efficacy and safety of new drug candidates. As a signatory to the Marseille Declaration since 2022, we aim to ethically balance the benefits to patients against the harm to animals used in research, and we deploy a science-based approach while ensuring compliance with high animal Dermatology beyond the skin MAT-85364 Page 2 of 2 welfare standards. Regardless of where in the world the use of animals for experimental work is taking place, we follow the standards defined by Danish legislation and the EU Directive on the Protection of Animals Used for Scientific Purposes.
