This is Johann Meerschaut
Johann works as a Project Department Manager with Technical Development and Supply, France .

My name is Johann Meerschaut, and I am a Project Department Manager at LEO Pharma. I have been a part of the Engineering team since 2006, and I am proud to have been a part of this company for such a long time.

When I first joined LEO Pharma, I was attracted by the company's commitment to advancing the standard of care for people with skin conditions. As someone who has always been interested in science and engineering, I was excited to become part of a team that is making a real difference in people's lives.

Working at LEO Pharma has been a rewarding experience. I have had the opportunity to take ownership of my work and my development, and I have learnt a lot from my colleagues and superiors. LEO Pharma encourages curiosity, and this has helped me to expand my knowledge and skills.

As a Project Department Manager, I have the privilege of interacting with almost all departments on our production site, as well as with other LEO sites and suppliers. My role involves preparing the long-term future of the company, which is a challenge that I enjoy.

One of the most challenging aspects of my job is constantly adapting to adhering to production schedules so we can deliver our products to patients. I need to be creative to find the best solutions to minimize production stops and costs, which requires a great deal of flexibility and problem-solving skills.

I am very proud of my self-motivating attitude, my decision-making skills, and my ability to fully embrace my tasks. With my Arts et Métier Engineer skill-set and the experience I have built at LEO Pharma, I am able to manage various topics and take various positions. Whether it's maintenance, production, quality, or engineering, I can adapt easily and support LEO Pharma’s challenges – and together, we can solve them as a team.

If I were to recommend my job at LEO Pharma to a peer within my field of work, I would say that if you want a minimum of routine work, if you are eager to drive your tasks and take responsibility while working on various and challenging topics, then LEO Pharma is the place for you. You will feel the autonomy and the mandate as soon as you walk in.

To me, pioneering means making proposals to shape our manufacturing tool in the long term. It is about shaking up the established order and not waiting for a decision or a request from top management to move forward. Luckily, I have that freedom and autonomy at LEO Pharma.

I am very proud to be a part of the LEO Pharma team, and I believe that our commitment to advancing the standard of care for people with skin conditions will continue to make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families.

If I could invite any life science pioneer for dinner, I would invite Leonardo da Vinci. I share his love of science, curiosity to know and understand the world around us, and I am also an artist at heart.

If you want a minimum of routine work, if you are eager to drive your tasks and take responsibility while working on various and challenging topics, then LEO Pharma is the place for you. You will feel the autonomy and the mandate as soon as you walk in.
