“We help each other, and due to the flat organizational structure and the genuinely good people here, we are all considered equal with no one being given more privileges than others. We are one LEO.”

My name is Èrik Boronat, and I’m working as a Marketing Trainee. As a child, I had my first personal encounter with a LEO Pharma product and the lion logo caught my attention. Growing up and getting the opportunity to meet some of the actual employees who constitute LEO Pharma gave me great insights to what it’s like working at “the lion”. I was impressed. So, when I got the opportunity to do an internship with LEO Pharma, I didn’t hesitate to take it.

Working at LEO is very rewarding, and I’ve really been surprised by the good communication and strong relationship between the different departments. You can feel the team spirit. Personally, I have always felt that I can speak openly about any topic regardless of whether it being personal or professional, and the team have always listened and taken my ideas into account - From day one, I’ve had the feeling of belonging and being part of the LEO community.

What I like most about my job within the thrombosis unit is being the central point between the different departments and the sales network; being up to date with all the projects, listening to their needs and being able to offer different solutions and hence, making an impact. Our care and commitment to patients is what makes us different. My work challenges me every day. There are always new situations that force me to think outside the box and improve what we’re doing today to make it better tomorrow for the benefit of patients and to help them live fulfilling lives.

In my job, I make great use of my ability to listen and communicate clearly. These skills are very valuable within the field of marketing as they enable constructive dialogues with the many stakeholders we are working with daily. Understanding each other’s points of view and listening to each of our challenges enables us to create effective solutions and ultimately, help more patients suffering from skin diseases.

LEO Pharma is an amazing place to work. People listen to you and take your ideas and contributions into account – it gives you that feeling of being psychologically safe and at home. You will feel informed and up to date within medical technological development and be at the forefront of science. At LEO, we help each other, and due to the flat organizational structure and the genuinely good people here, we are all considered equal with no one being given more privileges than others. We are one LEO.

If I could invite any life science pioneer for dinner, I would invite our very own CEO, Christophe Bourdon. If I could have dinner with him, I would like him to tell me about the latest trends and news in the industry, how the world of pharma is moving in his perspective and understand what it takes to find opportunities within the pharmaceutical world.

To me pioneering means being able to adapt novelties and offer maximum innovation and quality with your resources.
